Stormy Daniels lawyer Michael Avenatti dodged a question Wednesday from MSNBCs Craig Melvin on whether or not he leaked Michael Cohens financial records.
After a court hearing Wednesday, Avenatti said there were tapes or recorded audio kept by Michael Cohen relating to Stormy Daniels. Avenatti alleged that “if there is nothing nefarious about this they should just come clean, and we know that this is dirty, we know that its ugly, and its getting more ugly by the day.”
However when confronted to come clean himself, Avenatti refused to answer whether or not he leaked Trump lawyer Michael Cohens bank records.
“We provided the summary report,” Avenatti said about the Cohen records. “We didnt do anything proper or illegal in that regard, and to the best of our knowledge were not under any investigation for anything weve done.”
Avenatti also said he believes there are “a lot of American people that have a lot of common sense. You dont have to look very far to figure this out.”
