Roma have turned down a bid for Alisson Becker from Liverpool, reports in Italy claim.
Liverpool are on the hunt for a new No.1 after Jurgen Klopp decided neither Simon Mignolet or Loris Karius have what it takes to be the No.1 stopper.
Both goalkeepers have consistently made mistakes in games, and although Karius was recently promoted to No.1, Klopp is plotting the addition of a new goalkeeper.
Brazil No.1 Allison has been attracting interest from Liverpool and the Reds have now made their move to sign the 25-year-old.
Il Tempo claim Roma have knocked back a bid from Liverpool, but it is not known how much money the Reds offered.
Roma have already informed Liverpool Alisson will cost £44million and the Serie A side are eager to hold onto the Brazilian until the summer.

Alisson is thought to be open to a switch to the Premier League, but has insisted he is happy at his current club.
‘I am happy in Rome,’ Alisson told Sky Italia.
‘It’s always a pleasure to feel that lots of people are monitoring you but my head is focused on Roma. I leave my future in the hands of God.
‘In June, maybe we will speak about it again but for now I am concentrated on Roma.
‘Together with my teammates, we have done a great job to not allow the loss of [Wojciech] Szczesny to be felt by the fans.
‘I have worked very hard and want to continue along that track.’
