Manchester United are preparing for the long-awaited return of star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic later this month – by stocking the club’s megastore with extra shirts.
The Swede has been out of action since April after suffering a knee ligament injury towards the end of last season.
The 36-year-old was released in July but signed a new one-year deal at Old Trafford in August. The veteran then inherited Wayne Rooney’s no.10 shirt after his no.9 replica was taken by Romelu Lukaku.
United trail Manchester City by eight points and will be hoping to have Ibrahimovic back in time for the chaotic festive fixtures.
Ibrahimovic has been training outside with his team-mates and United believe he could return by the end of the month.
According to the Sun, United have ordered a stack of new Ibrahimovic replicas for the megastore and are creating a social media campaign to welcome him back.
