Carl Frampton has opened up about why he decided to part ways with his entire team at Cyclone Promotions including his manager Barry McGuigan and trainer Shane McGuigan.
The Belfast-native gutted his support system and signed on with Frank Warren and joined forces with coach Jamie Moore in a change up that stunned the boxing world.
There was rumblings of discontent when Frampton resigned as director of Cyclone Promotions. Those whispers got louder in July when Andres Gutierrez pulled out of a fight with Frampton the night before the bout after slipping in the shower.

Frampton has revealed he felt his career was becoming stale and he was in danger of walking away from the sport.
‘I was always talking about retirement. I was thinking, ‘F*** this boxing is a hard game, I want to get out’,’ Frampton told the Daily Star.

‘For at least a year I was on the phone to my wife Christine saying, ‘I can’t wait to pack this game in, I’m sick of it’. That’s going to affect her.
‘She is hearing that every night when I’m in London and it has got to be draining.
‘I just felt like I needed a change and I needed to do something.
‘I felt I was maybe getting a bit stale or something. You don’t know until you come out of the situation but now when I’m here I’m enjoying it. I’m enjoying boxing.’
Frampton aims to get his career back on track on Saturday against Horacio Garcia in Belfast after losing his world title to Leo Santa Cruz in January.
The 30-year-old is targeting a return to world title fights in 2018 and knows he will be judged harshly if he fails to make a success of the changes he has made.
‘If this part of my career doesn’t go right people are going to say, ‘You shouldn’t have left the McGuigans’,’ he said.

‘I know exactly what they are going to say but, for me now and how I am with boxing at the moment, it was the right decision to make.
‘There is more pressure but there has always been pressure on my career. It is about how you deal with it. I can cope with pressure.’
Frampton takes on the Mexican Garcia on Saturday in his first fight in his hometown since February 2015.
