Former Man Utd defender banned for kicking fan

Patrice Evra has been banned from European club football until June 2018 for aiming a kick at one of his own team's fans.

The former Manchester United defender was sent off before the start of a Europa League tie in Portugal earlier this month for appearing to kick a Marseille supporter he had clashed with.

European football's governing body, UEFA, has announced he has been fined €10,000 (£8,825) and banned from all European club football until 30 June.
