Hands up if you had no clue Ivana Trump’s new memoir would be so insightful?
The ex-wife of US President Donald released her book, Raising Trump, earlier this month and one chapter in particular has been gaining a lot of attention.
The chapter in question was written by the president’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, telling an anecdote about her mother being outraged by a ‘punk phase’ she went through.
In it, Ivanka details her love of Nirvana, wardrobe of flannel shirts and rebellious decision to dye her hair blue.
‘During my punk phase in the nineties I was really into Nirvana,’ Ivanka wrote.
‘My wardrobe consisted of ripped corduroy jeans and flannel shirts.
‘One day after school, I dyed my hair blue. Mum wasn’t a fan of this decision.
‘She took one look at me and immediately went out to the nearest drugstore to buy a $10 box of Nice’n Easy.
‘That night, she forced me to dye my hair back to blond.
‘The colour she picked out was actually three shades lighter than my natural color and I have never looked back.’
Her hair-raising anecdote did not go unnoticed after it was shared online, quickly going viral on social media.
I am sure. Ripping a hole in that 3K pair of jeans and placing a golden safety pin through it was rebellious.

It’s fair to say those online were less than impressed.
‘Ivanka is trying to take away our heritage! Outrage! Grunge is not punk,’ Twitter user Dustin Giebel said.
Orli Matlow tweeted: ‘Ivanka Trump’s alleged punk phase consisted of listening to Sk8er Boi and relating to the girl who said see you later boy.’
Ivanka’s revelation comes as online conspiracy theorists think another member of the Trump family could be hiding something.
Thousands of people have taken to Twitter claiming Melania Trump has a body double after she was seen looking suspicious while standing next to her husband during a recent press conference.
